They say a person’s word is everything. Not all that long ago, I mentioned to a client I’d help bring her outdoor living space to life as a favour, and I wasn’t about to go back on my word.

I must say, I had a blast stepping away from my usual seat at my desk in front of a computer screen, to get this deck built and make good on my word. It was a great reminder of why I love doing what I do, helping people get exactly what they need whenever possible.

While my usual schedule generally keeps me indoors as a realtor, I was glad that I was able to work this outdoor project in for a great client. Hoping that she is able to enjoy the sunshine and summer evenings out there now.

Donna and I took advantage of the beautiful weather this past weekend to explore downtown Thorold, and we are glad that we did. We highly recommend checking it out for yourself if you have the chance. The core is filled with a great mix of new and established shops and cafes. Everyone we met, from owners to employees were incredibly welcoming and more than happy to share their stories with us.

🌽More farmers, more vendors: St. Catharines Farmers Market set to celebrate biggest season yet.

The St. Catharines Farmers Market is ready for the 2026 harvest season, with a record number of vendors lined up to serve the community this summer.
With more than 60 vendors offering a variety of easily accessible goods including farm to table produce, baking, cured meats, flowers, and a diverse selection of prepared foods, the Market will be expanding outside on Saturday, May 16.

The event kicks off with an opening welcome from Mayor Mat Siscoe live on the Market Stage at 9 a.m.
The Market Discovery Table offers an interactive experience with locally grown food while offering a fun craft for the children every Saturday during the main Market season (until Oct. 17) from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

With the return of the peak season, so comes Music in the Square. Local performers will be performing weekly, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come have a seat on our picnic tables and enjoy the vibes!
