New beginnings in a new home to begin the New Year for this precious family!

This one was a long play. We were the very first showing several months ago - we loved it, but the timing was off and the price felt high for us.

“Just not meant to be right now” and we made peace with that, sort of…my buyers continued to have it in the back of their minds, we kept a close eye on things, and the wonderful Realtor on the listing side was diligent in their follow up with me.

We watched this home go under contract conditionally a couple times, while working to get our ducks in a row in the background. Things aligned, we came back to the table, and were able to negotiate a very favourable price.

“It felt like this was meant to be your home” the Sellers shared with my buyers yesterday at our walk through upon firming up. Their comments regarding my efforts and negotiation skills meant so much to hear. It is such a fulfilling part of this career to see the moments in which you know that you accomplished something that truly benefits your clients, that many others in the same scenario may not have been savvy enough to. A big difficult sticking point during the negotiations? A comparable sale just around the corner, that accomplished a pretty significant sold price. Ironically, I was the listing Realtor who sold that one. A very welcomed nod to my business.

This house really does feel meant to be “home” to this young family - in grade school, my buyer won an award. The award was granted to the school by these Sellers, to honour their daughter who had sadly passed away at a young age.
