But let me tell you why I REALLY love this building: I've been giving the same advice for years*..: if you're going to renovate an older home, the very best ones offer two things:

1) A great layout that minimizes the need for adding to the footprint, or "chainsaw" work like moving or taking out walls... either of which almost always end up being far more complez and costly than expected.

2) A long history of upgrades, maintenance and repairs, with one owner for decades. Homes that have been through many hands, and many renovations, have a complex history that won't reveal itself until you start opening up the walls.

Someone is going to have a GREAT experience renovating this home. It's the best of the best.

*I have been giving this advice for years, but not following it. I learn it the hard way, and when I give advice about old homes it usually follows with "ask me how I know"
