Radon… often overlooked and not addressed, but so important to the health of your family and home. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer amongst non-smokers. We’re seeing many homes test high in the region (1 in 5).
In an effort to raise awareness in the community, we are lending digital radon meters by RadonEye for one-week periods. Although not intended to replace long-term testing, these cutting edge monitors are very accurate and give a reading within 10 minutes. If you’re lucky to test low, we recommend using long-term testing puck as per Health Canada to ensure all is good. If you test high, then there is an issue with radon that you may want to address. THE FIRST STEP IS TO TEST!

Why am I doing this? Well I feel strongly that our homes should be safe; so I have been slowly expanding my services to address this.
What is Radon you ask? Radon is a radioactive invisible gas that comes from the ground and gets trapped in your home. I can lead to serious illness (even lung cancer) and it's been testing high in our area. Good news is that there are some easy solutions to reduce levels (which have nothing to with me).

Did you know? no level of radon is safe for your home and family. Modern buildings are often well-insulated to save on energy costs. However, poor air flow can allow radon, which is present in the ground under homes, to build up to high levels and cause harmful exposure.
A SIMPLE TEST CAN GIVE YOU THAT PIECE OF MIND...
Thankfully with proper testing and remediation through improved ventilation harmful buildup can be prevented.
This is probably the most important single thing you can do to ensure the safety of your home and family.

La Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) a partiellement levé L'interdiction d'inspecter et ceci en ce qui concerne exclusivement les immeubles livrables au plus t**d le 31 juillet 2020. :
«Les inspections en bâtiment qui reprendront à compter du 20 avril devront être liées aux transactions immobilières pour des résidences neuves ou existantes dont la prise de possession est prévue au plus t**d le 31 juillet 2020.»
