🔥 Fire Prevention Week | October 4–10, 2026

We spend so much time making our homes beautiful, comfortable and welcoming — but the most important thing will always be keeping the people inside them safe. ❤️

Fire Prevention Week is a great reminder to take a few minutes and look at some of the things around our homes that we often don’t think twice about.
When was the last time you checked the age of your smoke alarms? Cleaned your dryer vent? Thought about where you’re charging your phone or other lithium-ion devices? And does everyone in your family know exactly what to do — and where to meet — if there were ever a fire?

They’re simple things, but they’re worth thinking about.
Swipe through for a few important reminders, and then take 10 minutes this week to do a quick safety check around your own home. If you have kids, it’s also a great time to talk about your family’s escape plan and actually practise it together.

I had the chance to sit down with the team at Tote’s Trattoria, hear the story behind this beautiful little restaurant and, of course, taste some of the food. I can tell you, Chef Erik is incredibly talented. His food is an absolute must-try! 🍝

Tote’s was created to make you feel like you’ve walked into Nonna’s house. Sit down, slow down and enjoy incredible Italian food, good w**e, conversation and the people around your table. 🍷❤️

Sarnia is clearly loving it! Their intimate dining room is often a full house, so be sure to call ahead and make a reservation.

While I was away enjoying Portugal with my family, real estate certainly didn’t stop!

One lease was successfully fulfilled, and two properties officially sold, all while I was out of the country.
