A huge congratulations to my amazing first-time homebuyer on securing her very first home! 🎉
From the moment we met, I saw so much of myself in her. Working two jobs—her full-time career and waitressing on the side—to save for a down payment, she never lost sight of her goal of homeownership.
With a tight budget, we explored a lot of options. We viewed homes that needed extensive work, homes in less-than-ideal locations, and everything in between. But patience paid off, and we found the perfect fit: a raised ranch semi-detached home in a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood with a huge yard and endless potential.
Knowing how handy and hardworking she is, I can already picture the incredible transformation she'll create. Not only does this home give her the opportunity to build equity through renovations, but it also offers enough space for roommates to help pay down the mortgage—a strategy that worked for me when I purchased my first home years ago.
