Thats This Thursday.....

Last week, I ran into someone who was curious about our new home at Wellings of Corunna. He mentioned wanting to attend some of our culinary events but felt a bit "weird" about dining at a retirement home. That’s completely understandable, but I want to clear up this common misconception—Wellings of Corunna may be home to some incredible older adults, ( 55 + ) but these vibrant individuals live life to the fullest! Sitting at a table nearby won’t make you any older—just well-fed and happy!
With that in mind, we invite you to join us for our next Fantastic Feast: PASTA NIGHT this Thursday, March 27th, from 5 PM to 7 PM! Watch as our talented chefs prepare your custom pasta dish right before your eyes in the dining room. While your dish is being made, start with our fresh Caesar salad, featuring real bacon and homemade croutons made from our freshly baked bread. Speaking of fresh bread, we bake it right here from scratch, serving it warm with butter, alongside focaccia bread and breadsticks with dipping oils to keep you satisfied as you wait. Also we have an amazing new soup called Zuppa Toscana ! Be sure to give it a try !

After your main course, head over to our Dessert Table to indulge in an array of delicious Italian sweets, including several versions of tiramisu and other delightful treats. Our Italian-themed night is brought to life by our talented Wellings members' decoration team, featuring stunning backdrops perfect for photo ops.
We’re also giving away several door prizes, including T-shirts and beautiful full-color prints suitable for framing. Whether you're a returning supporter or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you!
Best of all, every dollar raised at our Sarnia Blessings Pasta Night, helps provide meals for those in need all in your very own community through our Senior & Post-Surgery Meal Ministry.

Join us this, AND EVERY FRIDAY, for our Public Buffet ! We rely on funds generate from events like this to keep operating and keep the meals flowing to those in need in our very own community ! What a wonderful thing to do.....to give back

Good Morning, Friends,

Yesterday, we received a heartbreaking voicemail from the daughter of one of our meal recipients. Her mother, who had been receiving meals from Sarnia Blessings, was actually requesting them on behalf of another daughter who is terminally ill. Tragically, the mother passed away suddenly last week. Overwhelmed with grief and unsure of what to do, the daughter reached out to us.

Our intake coordinator immediately reassured her that the meals would continue at no cost and that she didn’t need to worry. This woman had just lost her father recently as well, making the weight of her sorrow even heavier.

In moments of deep pain, suffering, and loss, we at Sarnia Blessings are reminded of our purpose—to be a beacon of love and hope, reflecting the kindness and compassion of Jesus. Our hearts go out to this family as they navigate such profound grief. Please know that you are not alone, and you are deeply loved.

This message is not shared to seek recognition, but to acknowledge the guiding hand of Jesus, who strengthens us as we serve those in need. To everyone who supports Sarnia Blessings—whether through donations, events, catering, or purchasing our frozen meals—please know that you make this possible. President Trump has put a 28-day pause on his tariffs, but nothing can be taken for granted.

Parliament was set to return on Monday, January 27. But because of the Liberals’ self-serving actions, Parliament will not meet for another 7 weeks – well after President Trump’s March 4 deadline.

Conservatives are calling on the Liberals to bring back Parliament in order to deal with Trump’s tariff threats.

Conservaives will continue to put Canada First – now and always.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who chose Sarnia Blessings as their Christmas caterer this season. Last night, we delivered our final meal of the season, and we’re deeply grateful for your support. By trusting us with your events, you’ve helped us continue providing much-needed nutritious meals to struggling seniors and post-surgery clients across Lambton County.

We also extend our sincerest appreciation to our incredible team of selfless volunteers—your dedication and generosity make all the difference. And, of course, we give thanks to the Good Lord for granting us the strength, ability, and joy to carry out this meaningful work.

As we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the opportunities of 2025, we’re thrilled to share that our new location at Wellings of Corunna will feature exciting culinary experiences that will be available to its members and the public.
