OUR STORY
We are Darrin & Jordan Sych, father and son co-owners of Edison Homes.
Darrin grew up surrounded by construction, as his father was a carpenter. After graduating high school Darrin completed his B.A. in Regional & Urban Development at the University of Saskatchewan. In 1990 while pursuing a career with an Engineering Firm Darrin and his wife purchased their first home. Darrin loved the experience so much that he spent the next 6 months studying and planning to become a real estate agent. Fast forward 20+ years, over 2000 properties sold, and a specialization in new construction sales, Darrin has learned a thing or two about what people really want in a home.
Jordan’s passion for real estate development began in high school while helping to build the 5th family home. Right after graduating he began selling homes for a local builder to gain experience in the construction industry. At only age 21 he co-founded Edison Homes Inc. and has never looked back. In order to deliver top quality service in every aspect of Edison Homes, Jordan obtained extensive training in project management in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is currently completing Construction Management through SAIT while he actively manages our project planning and oversees our design/product delivery.
As we began to shape Edison Homes, we spent many hours formulating the direction we wanted to take. We saw an opportunity to create something unique in a world of uniformity. After visiting and studying home design concepts in major western Canadian cities, we found something missing in our own market – homes that are individual in character at all price points!
