To help protect your household, never use a generator or barbecue indoors, keep vents and chimneys clear of debris, and avoid running ventilation fans while operating a portable AC unit. Spotted some creepy-crawly "spiderwebs" in your trees lately? 🌳

Don't worry, your trees aren't doomed! Those silky tents at the ends of the branches belong to the Fall Webworm (Hyphantria cunea), a native North American caterpillar.

Here is what you need to know:

Are they dangerous to trees? Not really! While the webs look messy, they only cause late-season cosmetic damage. Healthy trees bounce right back next spring.

Should you spray chemicals? Usually, no! Heavy spraying can hurt helpful wildlife and local pollinators.

How can you help? If the webs are bothering you, use a long stick or pole to gently tear open the silk netting. This lets local birds and beneficial insects do their job of managing the caterpillars naturally. To remove the remaining web, simply take the garden hose and spray it loose.

Some more larger webs be need to be looked at by an arbourist. They got the extra equipment to manage this pest in a safe manner!

🔑Water smarter, not more**: Use shorter cycles and adjust based on weather and season.
🔑Inspect for leaks**: Report broken sprinklers, dripping valves, or pooling water right away.
🔑Avoid overwatering**: If you see runoff or puddles, it’s a sign to reduce time or coverage.
🔑Use the right settings**: Aim for targeted watering—keep sprinklers off sidewalks, driveways, and fences.

Condo Insurance🏡

This can be a very confusing topic for condo owners.

What does the condo corporation cover?

Answer: Each condo is unique in its requirements and therefore the condo master policy is tailored to its needs. Talk to your property manager for more information.

Why does an owner also require homeowner insurance (condo pak)?
Simple Answer: The insurance for the condominium corporation is to rebuild/replace incase of a loss to maintain the integrity of the development as a whole. Your condo pak will provide you coverage to your unit. Talk to your insurance broker for more information!

You want to be sure that you can cover any corporation deductibles and ensure any betterment or improvements made to your unit since build/development are going to be covered.

It is strongly encouraged that you take your condominium master policy and visit your insurance provider.

⚠️‼️Important information‼️⚠️

The Government of Saskatchewan has introduced Henry’s Law to strengthen carbon monoxide safety in residential suites across the province.

Henry’s Law will require CO alarms in suites in all multi-unit residential buildings consisting of apartments, condominiums, houses with secondary suites and all other buildings with multiple residential suites by November 1, 2026. The regulations are named in honour of Henry Losco, who passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning in Regina in December 2025.

Attention Residents! 🐾

We love that many of the condo communities are so pet-friendly, but we need everyone's help to keep the shared spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for all!

Recently, we’ve noticed an increase in pet waste being left on the property. Leaving pet droppings in shared outdoor areas is not only a health hazard but incredibly disrespectful to your neighbors.

A quick reminder of community rules:

1) Bag it and bin it: Always pick up after your furry friend immediately.🚮

2) Proper disposal: Secure the waste in a bag and throw it directly into the garbage. (As a friendly reminder from the City of Saskatoon, pet waste goes in your black cart—not the green organics bin).
3) No exceptions: This applies to all common areas, visitor parking, and grass patches.

Be a responsible pet owner and a great neighbor. Nobody wants to step in a mess while heading out the door!
