Parkside Square Residents had a meeting with the Rhapsody and Provident. Super high hydro bills continue at this building. Residents getting ripped off at this building. Only if residents could do this to this company.

The utilities company - Provident - has a bundle of nasty consumer experiences on the BBB site as well !!
If Rhapsody Property Management Services and Parkside Square see this history of Provident Energy - will they continue to use them at their property in North York ? Should residents have to go through OEB to get a provider that doesn't have such major problems ?

Provident Energy's shocker hydro bills continue to arrive at Parkside Square (55 Smooth Rose Court). Bills that are 3 to 4 times of what they should be. And all the property Parkside Square management can say is - we are looking into it. A very unfortunate issue that is leaving a bad taste for all. Onsite management team works so hard to keep everything on track - but this issue seems to be beyond their control.

Provident Energy has a 1.0 star rating on Google. It is extremely hard to achieve 1* for any business - let alone a hydro company. We will share a selection of these reviews here shortly. Starting with the first one today.

Did Rhapsody Property Management Services management do a background check before choosing Provident Energy as the provider ?

Energy bills continue to shock new residents in Parkside Square. Coming from other condos where bills were around $50; here residents are getting bills for $200 to $300 (per month) !! For 1 and 2 BR apartments - that is a mega sticker shock.. Despite asking friends across GTA who live in condos, most residents are unable to find any other condo where bills come to higher than $100 a month.
The provider chosen by Rhapsody is a very poorly rated company online. Going by their Google ratings of 1* - given by 140+ reviewers, looks like Parkside Square has made a very erroneous choice in their energy supplier. Wonder why they did not go with Hydro One or Enercare or any other well known players. And wonder who will bear the financial consequences of this - the tenants or Rhapsody.
We will continue to share updates on this matter. If you have copies of your shocking ! bills - and would like to share - go right ahead. Let the management office know if you are getting inflated bills as well..
