PART 2 ⚠️ Here’s what the roof looked like after the tree was removed.

The impact that the severe wind storm in Port Sydney left behind:

🏠 Multiple holes through the roof
🌲 A broken ridge line
🔨 Scuffed and damaged shingles across the opposite slope from the force of impact
💧 An exposed home vulnerable to further water damage

Our priority was to make the home watertight as quickly as possible.

Before any permanent repairs can begin, a report from a structural engineer’s report and an insurance assessment is in the works. In the meantime, our team completed emergency waterproofing to help protect the home from additional damage.

PART 1: The aftermath of last week’s severe wind storm in Port Sydney (Muskoka), Ontario 💨

When this massive tree came down, it didn’t just land on the roof. It crashed across the home, damaged the front deck, and caused significant damage inside.

Cracks formed in the walls, belongings were knocked from shelves, and the entire structure was impacted.
