We were grateful to attend the 2026 Red River Métis Business Expo, a space filled with thoughtful conversations, shared ideas, and inspiring work happening across Manitoba.
For us, events like this are about more than networking they’re about building relationships, learning from others, and supporting solutions that strengthen communities.

A recent Manitoba study highlights a harsh reality: rural residents are experiencing gender-based violence, and too often, support is out of reach💜
For many women, seeking help means leaving their communities, disrupting their children’s lives, support systems, and connections with family and friends. Survivors emphasized the urgent need for accessible, local resources and safe spaces where they can heal and rebuild together.
At Mezzo Homes, we believe safety and stability should never require leaving home. Our vision for a thoughtfully designed community of ten homes aims to provide secure, supportive housing right where it’s needed most empowering survivors while keeping them connected to their roots🏡
