âť—Starting Monday, September 20, Strathcona County is participating in the provincial Restriction Exemption Program.
👉This program helps the County protect our community's health and safety, maximize services, comply with provincial measures, and protect our health care system.
❓What this means:
👉Residents 12+ will be required to provide proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or privately-paid negative COVID-19 test result (within 72 hours prior to entry) before accessing non-essential services (e.g. recreation and cultural facilities like Millennium Place and Festival Place).
*Note: Youth 12-17 who are spectating must provide proof; youth 12-17 who are participating in physical activity only do not need to provide proof.
👉Essential services including Transit, counselling, bill payments and voting do NOT require proof of vaccination, medical exemption or negative COVID-19 test result.
👉Masking and physical distancing is still in effect in all indoor public places, workspaces and vehicles.
👉Please be patient as this program rolls out, and continue to be kind and respectful.
