Join us at Sicamous Houseboats Marina on Saturday, September 19 for a Pirate Costume Party supporting Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station #106 – Shuswap!

The Sicamous & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to highlight an exciting fundraiser hosted by our member, Sicamous Houseboats, in support of our local volunteer marine rescue team, Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station #106 - Shuswap.

On Saturday, September 19 at 6:00 p.m., the Sicamous Houseboats Marina will transform into a pirate’s paradise for an evening of great food, live music and plenty of fun — all while supporting an organization that plays a vital role in keeping people safe on our lakes and waterways. 🚤❤️

🎟️ Tickets are $50 and include:

🌮 Pirate’s Bounty Taco Bar
🍹 Rum Punch Welcome Cocktail
🎶 Live Music by the Angie Heinze Band
⚓ A fantastic evening supporting our volunteer marine rescue station

There will also be a cash bar, and pirate costumes are highly encouraged! 🏴‍☠️

Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to RCMSAR Station 106 Shuswap, helping support the equipment costs, training and resources needed by our dedicated volunteers as they respond to emergencies and work to save lives on the water.

Why does this matter?

With so many residents and visitors enjoying the Shuswap's lakes each year, having a trained and properly equipped volunteer marine rescue team is incredibly important. RCMSAR volunteers are there when people need help — often in challenging and unpredictable conditions.

Supporting fundraisers like this helps ensure our local rescue station can continue doing this essential work and helps keep our families, residents and visitors safer on the water.

👏 A huge thank you to Sicamous Houseboats for organizing this fantastic fundraiser and for supporting RCMSAR Station 106 Shuswap. And, of course, thank you to all of the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to helping others on our waterways.

Great cause and a fun night out! Help us raise money for Station 106 so we can repower their big boat! This is a vital service to our lake. Dust off your muskets and and eye patches and please join us. Spread the word and bring some friends!

Somebody jumped off the back deck about ten seconds before this photo was taken. 🤿You can still see the ripples.

That's a typical afternoon out here right now. But keep this one in your back pocket: the water stays warm well into September, and the crowds thin out fast once the kids go back to school.

Same lake, same jumps, a whole lot more room to spread out. 😉
