In the last 10 days, a two-apartment home in St. John’s sold for roughly $116,000 over asking.

Another in Paradise went for about $101,000 over, and one in Mount Pearl sold for nearly $76,000 over asking.

The whole market is not equally competitive, but affordable two-apartment homes are clearly getting a lot of attention right now.

Meanwhile, buyers looking above $750,000 generally had more room to negotiate.

But I have a question, if buyers are paying this much over asking, will they still be able to build equity, or are they starting too high?
