One of my favourite parts of styling is figuring out why a room isn’t quite coming together.

It isn’t always about buying more. Sometimes it’s the scale of the rug or the artwork. Sometimes it’s the lighting or the wrong colour for the space. Sometimes it’s simply that the room needs a little more balance and intention.

That’s what I do!

I help homeowners make sense of their spaces and figure out what to do next, whether that’s a better layout, a few carefully chosen pieces, or simply a fresh styling perspective.

This room had nice furniture, but it felt awkward. Why?

Two reasons I often see:

1. Pieces were too small for the room size.
2. The layout interrupted how the room wanted to function.

By adjusting scale and reworking the seating plan, the whole room felt better and easier to use.

This is the part no one talks about after you move: the boxes are unpacked, the furniture is in, but the space still doesn’t feel right.

You try a few things, move them around, maybe buy something new… but it still feels off. Not because you don’t have good taste, but because no one ever showed you how to bring it all together.

When a property is coming to market, I’m both excited and a little nervous to see the photos. It can be really easy for me to analyze and forget all the work that has gone into each staging 🙈🙈 🙈🙈🙈🙃
But to be fair, all properties turn out pretty darn great! 🎉

This is the first week my new team has experienced multiple stagings in a day and have had to choose (under time pressure) what each property needs on their own. Occupied properties can be difficult, especially when working with what is currently in the house. But they did amazing. I’m very proud of them!

Way to go team! 👏 👏 👏
