After Losing Her Owner, Bridget Needs Us More Than Ever. 💔
Bridget's Journey Starts Today ❤️🐾

❤️ Meet Bridget ❤️
This sweet black cat recently lost the human she loved most.
Bridget was part of a family that included two cats and two dogs. Following the passing of her owner, she suddenly found herself facing an uncertain future. While Bridget is now safe in a foster home in Stratford, one of the dogs has been taken in by a rescue. We are still searching for more information on the whereabouts of the other cat and dog to ensure they are safe and receiving the care they need.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bridget a couple of years ago, and this is a photo I personally took of her. Seeing her again under these circumstances is truly heartbreaking.
As you can imagine, Bridget is confused, grieving, and stressed after losing her owner and being separated from the only home she has ever known. She is also in need of immediate veterinary care and spent today at the vet with her foster mom undergoing bloodwork and further assessment. At the moment, she has not been eating properly, which is often a sign of stress and emotional upheaval.
For now, our focus is making sure Bridget is comfortable, receiving the care she needs, and surrounded by kindness and compassion during this difficult transition.
❤️ A special thank you to Bridget's foster mom, who stepped up without hesitation to transport her to safety, open her home, and ensure she receives the love, comfort, and veterinary care she needs during this difficult time. Foster homes are truly the heart of rescue, and we are incredibly grateful for her compassion and dedication.
Today's bloodwork alone came to $411, and we expect there may be additional veterinary expenses as we learn more about Bridget's health and medical needs.
If you would like to help, please consider making a donation specifically toward Bridget's veterinary care. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Bridget receive the medical treatment and support she needs during this difficult time.

Once Bridget is feeling a little better and settled into her foster home, we will share updates and more photos.
