It’s Weekly Roundup time in Grand Bend and Lambton Shores!
Summer is in full swing, and there is a lot more happening this weekend than just the beach. We’ve got outdoor concerts, live music, theatre, movies, markets, motorcycles, big rigs, dancing, rib fest, golf events, patios, breweries, and plenty happening from Grand Bend through Thedford, Parkhill, Forest, Bayfield, Exeter, and beyond.
Thursday, July 16
Grand Bend Summer Sunset Sounds
Janna Leduc performs with special guest Dave Ward from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This week’s concert has been moved to The Grand Bend Legion. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy free live music, and support the summer concert series with a freewill offering.
Widder Station Golf, Grill & Tap House, Thedford
Free line dancing runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., rain or shine. Stop in for dinner and drinks beforehand, then hit the dance floor.
The Kiwi
The Kiwi is showing Mean Girls for its throwback-themed outdoor movie night. Their front patio and backyard bar are open to non-motel guests for food and drinks.
Friday, July 17
Crabby Joe's Bar & Grill - Grandbend
The Maple Keys Piano Show returns from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for an all-request piano party on the patio.
The Grand Bend Legion
Meat Draw starts at 5:00 p.m., followed by Karaoke at 7:00 p.m.
Grand Bend Motorplex
Grand Bend Motorplex has a packed weekend with Racer5 Motorcycle Development School running Friday through Sunday, plus the Great Canadian Truck Show taking over Saturday and Sunday with big rigs, race trucks, show rigs, and quarter-mile action.
Huron Country Playhouse
Misery and The Full Monty are both on stage this weekend, with performances running Thursday through Sunday. The Full Monty is recommended for ages 16 and older.
Saturday, July 18
The Kiwi
DJ Renee performs poolside from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Kiwi’s patio, poolside setup, and backyard bar make it a great daytime stop close to the strip.
The Grand Bend Legion
Janine Payne is back for an afternoon of dancing and singalong favourites. The Legion is advertising the event from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Bad Apple Brewing Company Ltd., Zurich
Rod & Reba perform live from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunny Sally’s Yoga also starts at 10:00 a.m.
Forest Golf Club & Inn
Forest Rib Fest runs from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Choose from hickory-smoked ribs, Asian sticky ribs, or barbecue ribs, served with potato salad and cornbread. Entry is free, with food purchased separately.
Winnie’s Roadhouse
Winnie’s Roadhouse has live music with Greg Gallello from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A good Parkhill stop for music, food, drinks, and a roadhouse-style night out.

Pinery Market
The Sunday tradition returns from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is listed at $2 cash, with more than 250 artisan, vintage, food, produce, and specialty vendors.
Crabby Joe's Bar & Grill - Grandbend
Sunday live music runs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Torched Brewing Company
Sunday Co****le at Torched Brewing Company. A great laid-back Sunday stop for drinks, games, and a casual end to the weekend.
Bad Apple Brewing Company Ltd., Zurich
Dave Menard performs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bad Apple is also hosting pottery painting with Ceramic Social beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Widder Station Golf, Grill & Tap House
Widder hosts a couples’ scramble golf tournament from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Starlite Twin Drive-In Theatre

Bayfield
Start Friday afternoon at the Bayfield Farmers Market from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with Aleah Moxham performing from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Afterward, explore the shops, patios, marina, beach, and Main Street.
Forest
Friday brings The Odyssey to the Kineto Theatre, while Saturday’s Forest Rib Fest runs from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Forest Golf Club & Inn. The Forest Farmers and Artisan Market is also listed Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Exeter
Eddington's of Exeter, downtown Exeter, and the surrounding patios make an easy little further out stop if you’re making a day of it.
Weekend Stops Around Town
Shale Ridge Estate Winery in Thedford is open Friday to Sunday and is always a great daytime stop for wine, cider, food, and the estate experience. Their Swing Table Experience and Ridge Flight are also listed as available experiences.
