Donation bags near the door. A sold piece of furniture. Cleaning supplies that need to stay behind. When these sit next to sealed boxes with no clear separation, they can get loaded by mistake.

Before the crew arrives, create one clearly marked zone for everything that stays. A strip of painter's tape on the floor. A printed sign that says "DO NOT LOAD." A marker and a few clear labels are usually enough to separate "goes" from "stays."
