🌷IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, this is a wonderful time to freshen up your home, here are some tips to help you get some spring cleaning done.

🌺 Wash your doors and windows, don't forget the sliding door tracks
🌺 Give your walls, doors, and baseboards a good, thorough cleaning
🌺 If you have carpet, now is a great opportunity to deep clean your carpets
🌺 Get an extra pair of hands, and move sofas, chairs, beds, fridge, and stove and give those areas a good vacuuming
🌺 Give some extra love to your furniture, whether you have fabric or leather sofas, now is a great time for deep cleaning, and don't forget to polish any wood
🌺 Use your vacuum upholstery attachment for your drapes, dust your light fixtures, and ceilings fans
🌺 Grab a few boxes and as you go through the rooms, you can declutter room by room, label boxes garage sale, donate or garbage, and sort your items
🌺 Check on your batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
🌺 Is your exterior looking a little drab? You can freshen the face of your home with a fresh coat of paint on your doors, siding, trim, or shutters
🌺 Clean and repair gutters and downspouts before the heavy spring rain begins
🌺 Put away snow shovels, snow blowers, salt, and other winter accessories and make room for the lawnmower (finally)
🌺 Get ready for the outdoors, clean and repair outdoor furniture and check on your barbecue

Get a head start on your spring cleaning with a March maintenance checklist.

-clean and replace air conditioner filters
-check the roof for broken or damaged shingles
-deep clean windows and siding to allow the sun to shine through the home
-replace old batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
-clean out clogged gutters around the home
-start up all lawn equipment before the first cut and trim

Here are some great ways to reduce the dust in your home:

1. Change the bedding since dust particles collect on the surface

2. Sweep and mop the floors regularly, wash the dustpan, and brush frequently.

3. A dehumidifier helps keep the humidity low and reduces dust mites.

4. Install roller blinds to reduce the amount of dust and use cloth curtains as they are easier to wash.

5. Use a microfiber cloth, which also works best for picking up pet hair.
