Its a small milestone but an important one on our journey to move from Canada to Mexico 🇲🇽

Getting an apostille for our birth certificates 📄

We will need this to get residency but also for a few other things in Mexico.

Now for myself and the kids it’s been a smooth process so far, I needed to re-order two of our broth certificates which took about 6 weeks and now my husband is dropping them off the get the apostille 🥳

BUT my husband was born in Ukraine, and his birth certificate is from the Soviet Union, so he first needed a new one and then needed to the get the apostille, but since he doesn’t have any Ukrainian ID we couldn’t book his appointment at the consulate and of course going to Ukraine to do this isn’t so simple.

We found a company that handles this and we received the update that the documents are ready to be mailed to us …🤞 now fingers crossed we get them and everything is good!!

This took MONTHS and hours and hours of research and time wasted trying to contact the consulate… but we made it 😊… I think?!

So today we celebrate this milestone, because paperwork is necessary but never fun !

When every dollar earned comes from closing deals, agents start to notice one or more of these problems 👇🏻

- inconsistent income which leads to increased stress and uncertainty
- hitting a financial ceiling that feels impossible to break because there are no extra hours in the week
- a lack of freedom or flexibility because the next deal is always top priority, this looks like missing weekends with family, missing important events or milestones with loved ones regularly, skipping your workouts to work more, saying yes to clients even when you really want to say no, feeling pressure to work more even when your mind or body are begging for a break, vacations where your laptop and phone take center stage…
- no retirement plan, exit plan or ability to take a break without loosing what you have built or taking a huge financial hit

This is why I am a huge believer in building your business like a CEO - have a vision, create a plan, oversee and delegate the plan, make strategic pivots….

“You’re only as good as your last deal”

Yeah we’re not falling for that. In 2026 agents are smart and realize that having a real business means looking beyond the next deal, it means building a sustainable business with more than one pillar of income and having systems and support that give them time back!

I built my business in pockets of time raising two kids - now they are 3 and 6 and I spend every weekend with them, every morning with them, I tuck them into bed 95% of the time, they’re home with me on every PA day, summer break, March break and holiday.

It’s not because I don’t work, it’s because I set clear boundaries in my business, focus on my vision beyond the traditional path, collaborate with others and created an entire system for my life and business to function cohesively!

You’re business won’t magically change when you hit your income goal, you won’t have more weekends with your family next year, you won’t suddenly unplug on your next vacation, your anxiety won’t dissipate because you hit that next goal.

All of that happens when you let yourself stand back and actually analyze your business - determine what needs to change, understand what you want, and find opportunities to create your version of freedom!
