Being in real estate since my early 20s, I always thought my first book would be about real estate.
I had the outline. I had the title. I teach this industry for a living, so it made sense that the first thing I put my name on would be about it.
Then my daughters arrived, and the real estate book quietly stopped mattering. Something else needed writing first.
Today, after months of early mornings and late nights, that something is finally here. It's called Unconditional Love, and it's the most personal thing I have ever made.
It's a short book about the three great loves in a life. The one you were given before you could ask for it. The one you chose, at a cost, with no guarantee. And the one that arrives owing you nothing and takes everything you have, gladly.
It will make you laugh at the parts you thought only happened to you. It will make you cry at least once, probably at a wedding you haven't been to yet. It will make you want to call your parents. And if you're a parent, it will send you down the hall to check on a sleeping child for no reason at all, which is the point.
It's part story, part quiet science, and it ends with two blank pages that are yours: a place to write down the one memory that defines love for you.
Inspired by my daughters, Isra and Saira. I'm sharing it with you.
