We’re SO excited to announce HOUSE’s first student housing co-op!

It’s affordable, non-profit and co-operative housing for post-secondary students at York University.

Located just minutes from campus, you can skip the long commute and spend more time on what matters — the late-night study sessions, spontaneous hangouts, and everything in between.

Includes all the amenities you need: a fully equipped kitchen, in-house laundry, lots of storage, and spaces to unwind, study, or just connect with your housemates. And, you are a short walk from grocery stores, local restaurants, and pharmacies.

At HOUSE, you will be part of a student community built on connection, support, and friendships you will carry beyond your student years.

As we settle into the bustle of summer, we are taking a moment to look back on the wonderful winter term we had at our chapters.

Our collaboration with the for the Keys to Housing event as part of their Housing Advocacy Week was for sure a highlight of the term for us! We love any opportunity to educate and empower students with their tenant rights through our Know Your Rights workshop. This one was particularly special as we incorporated a Kahoot for the first time and might I say it was a ‘ka-hoot’!

The day ended on an even sweeter note as Nathi, our Co-Executive Director, shared the panel with remarkable folks, Seema Kawar, Natalie Hart, and Sam McDadi. We got to hear concerns, answer questions, and offer advice on all things student housing. Thanks again to UTMSU for creating this space to interact and engage with students and for building that community of learning and housing support.
