This year is my 10th year in real estate. My path has been unconventional to say the least, but I always had such a clear vision of what I wanted for myself in this business. I wanted to take what everyone thought about an agent, and flip it upside down. I wanted to create multiple streams of income, I wanted to use my personality and creativity to my advantage, and I wanted to challenge myself to create something I was truly proud of. I built a career around the things I love to do, and that I am best at. The characteristics that once were seen as a burden, happened to be the ones to excel me most. At this point in my career, I no longer need to sell real estate at all. I do that part because I really do love it. I’m super grateful I get to focus on the things I love most and do them on my own terms.

What a lot of people don’t talk about on social media however, is that struggle early on. I never shared how I was weeks away from getting out of this business 2.5 years in. I’d be posting about my showings in the morning and actively interviewing for jobs that same afternoon. I never shared the numerous times I didn’t have enough gas money to get home from the office and had to borrow it from people, I never shared how my card got declined on a spicy chicken combo at Wendy’s (great combo) And I never shared the heart to hearts I had with myself late at night that maybe I wasn’t as good as I thought I was. On social media, you see peoples highlight reel. The perfectly positioned post that makes them look years ahead of where they actually are. Don’t look at them, you’re not them. You’re you. Figure out what works for you. It’s ok to feel stuck, it’s ok to feel lost, because everyone has been there wether they tell you or not.. Keep moving, Find your way out of the place you don’t want to be and move toward the place you do want to be. You’ll come out the other side with some great stories, tons of character and a business you will be extremely proud of.

In all seriousness, I am so proud to be a coach for … Working with my clients and seeing their success brings me so much joy and fulfilment. From getting their first social media lead off a video we curated, to landing a 5 million dollar plus sale. I love being apart of this company, and being apart of so many agents lives. I was counted out by almost everybody. I was completely written off, i wasn’t taken seriously, I was talked down to, and dismissed. I was told I wasn’t smart enough to find my way. The worst thing about all of it, is for a long time, I believed it.



My personality and my character were seen as my biggest flaws, when they were actually my biggest attributes. Instead of giving in and believe their bu****it, I chose to climb against the grain. When you have great ideas and everyone tells you that you can’t do them, if YOU believe in them strong enough, f**k em’

10 days ago I started posting intentionally on an entirely new social media page that I had made a while back, in a completely different industry that nobody knows me in. As I have been speaking, coaching and masterminding over the last couple of years, a common theme would always be people saying “ It’s easy for you to get attention, you have a big following, and brand. So I thought I’d start from 0 and see what happens. I knew I didn’t want to just measure success by follower count, because it means nothing if the followers are there for the wrong reason. What I was more interested in was if the people who did follow me, followed me for the right reasons. In the last 10 days of posting intentionally, on average I have spent 18 per minutes per day dedicated to it. I’ve posted a total of 7 videos and these are my results at the time of writing this… 1,266 followers, 180k views, hundreds of comments, but most of all, many real conversations started, and connections made. I’ll be able to grow this page to something very meaningful.



Here’s what I’ve learnt. Make sure your followers are there for the right reason. Virality and followers mean nothing if it isn’t in your voice, because what happens is they see or follow you for something that you are not. All that does is make them unfollow you, or create a ghost follower, where they no longer engage because they don’t resonate with your normal content. Focus on curating something that is true to you. Figure out what you want to post about, figure out what people want to see on the topics you are posting about, then execute it in your own voice. People can follow you because of the products you present, or people can follow you because of the way YOU present the product. One creates a crowd, the other creates and audience.
