Desmond is a lifelong resident of Toronto, a city he loves and believes is one of the best places in the world to live and raise his three sons. Desmond’s first business venture was his paper route on Coxwell Avenue in the city’s east end when he was only 12 years old. In high school he delivered pizzas and went on to own and operate his own taxi-cab. Eventually Desmond went on to fulfil his lifel
ong dream of being a journalist. During more than a decade working in the media he was fortunate enough to work for the top news organizations in the country such as CTV Toronto (CFTO), Global Television, National Post, Toronto Star and the Ottawa Citizen. Desmond has 20 years of experience in real estate and enjoys the excitement of the ever-changing industry:
“I've done just about everything I can in real estate. I've owned my own company, managed one of the top producing offices in the city, and most importantly I've helped numerous friends, clients and relatives in what is usually the biggest financial decision they'll make in their lives. In real estate sales, there's nothing more rewarding than knowing I've played a huge part in the excitement after a dream home has been purchased, or a whack of money has been made after selling. The hours can be long, and I work most weekends but it's the type of career that has given me the flexibility to have dinner with my family almost every evening and to taxi my guys to their many activities. There's something about real estate that intrigues just about everyone. We can't help but be a bit curious about what our neighbour's house may have sold for or what the nice house up the street might be worth. Whether you're buying, selling or, like me, helping people to do both, real estate is exciting. And to top it off it is one of the best financial investments we can make, especially in Toronto."
