Bay window going in. I could have easily just replaced the windows in the original angled bay window that was there, but I’m committed to making the facade of this house a lot more lovely and the room it’s going in a lot more lovely too. When you appreciate that you are renovating a house with the expectation that your design will have to last another 25 years or more before it gets updated again, it feels like a responsibility of sorts to do it right, and do it well. We’ve all experienced renovated homes where that consideration wasn’t weighed. Nobody wants to be that renovator where people stand in front of the house scratching their heads saying “Why did or didn’t they do that? They came so close….”
