Where has the time gone?
Today marks 50 years since I first arrived in Canada — half a century of calling this beautiful country home! 🇨🇦
I still remember those first winters like they were yesterday: icy sidewalks, frosty mornings, and winds so cold they felt like they could freeze your breath. The snow was beautiful… but the frostbite was no joke. 🥶 In those days, I kept telling my mom again and again, “I want to go back home to Jamaica!” — it was just too cold. 🇯🇲
With time, though, I learned to embrace the magic of Canadian life — the sparkle of fresh snow, the glow of a winter sunrise, and the warmth of friendships and community that could outshine any chill.
It’s been a journey of joy, opportunities, and unforgettable memories. From the people I’ve met to the adventures I’ve experienced, Canada has been more than just where I live — it’s where I’ve grown, dreamed, and thrived. Here’s to 50 years of gratitude, resilience, and love for my home in the True North. ❤️🍁
