❄️ IMPORTANT WINTER UPDATE: Significant Weather Event
Heads up to all our Kenmau tenants! The City of Quinte West has officially declared a significant weather event due to the heavy snowfall and challenging conditions we’ve seen over the last 24 hours.
What this means for you: While the City and our private snow contractors are working around the clock, the sheer volume of snow means it is taking longer than usual to meet standard clearing times for roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.
Plows are active: Our contractors are doing their absolute best to keep up with the accumulation.
Expect delays: Maintenance may take longer than standard windows—please be patient as crews navigate the conditions.
Stay safe: Please use extra caution when walking or driving. Surfaces may be slippery until clearing is complete.
We prioritize your safety above all else. Thank you to the plow operators and shovellers working in these tough conditions!
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. Stay warm and stay safe!
UPDATE: The significant weather event declaration was lifted as of 9 a.m. on Jan. 30, 2026.

CITY OF QUINTE WEST DECLARES A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT ❄️
The City of Quinte West has declared a significant weather event under Ontario Regulation 239/02 due to the high volume of snow and challenging conditions.
During the significant weather event, the City is advising motorists, pedestrians and residents to use extra caution as the municipality may not be able to meet its maintenance standards for roads and sidewalks due to the significant amount of snow accumulation in the area over the last 24 hours. The declaration will not change how or when the City performs its winter maintenance operations; however, it may take longer than usual to clear the roads and sidewalks. Public safety is the top priority.
The City of Quinte West will update the public with information during this significant weather event as it becomes available.
