One of the greatest privileges of my career has been mentoring newer REALTORS® as they build their own paths in this industry. Those first few years can be exciting, but they're also challenging, and having someone in your corner makes a real difference.

Recently, I had the pleasure of working alongside one of my mentees on a subject-to-sale transaction, helping her client sell their home to purchase a dream cabin in Chilliwack. It wasn't a simple deal. Coordinating timelines, working with our lending partner, and managing the moving pieces of a subject-to-sale took patience, planning, and a lot of teamwork.

In the end, we sold their home to a wonderful young couple and secured their Chilliwack cabin. Watching it all come together, and watching my mentee grow more confident along the way, was a great reminder of why I love this profession.

Whether I'm representing my own clients or supporting another agent behind the scenes, my goal is always the same: thoughtful guidance, strong advocacy, and an experience people feel good recommending to family and friends.

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy your outdoor space, and also a great time to make small improvements that could pay off down the road. You don't need a full renovation budget to make a difference.

A few easy places to start:
Create a conversation space. Comfortable chairs, an outdoor rug, and a fire table can turn an unused corner into a cozy gathering spot.

Refresh what's already there. A good cleaning, fresh stain, or a few replaced boards can make an older deck or patio feel well cared for.

Boost curb appeal. Fresh mulch, tidy garden beds, and colourful planters go a long way toward a great first impression.

Add privacy. Decorative screens, a trellis, or well-placed shrubs make a yard feel like an extension of the home.

Define the space. A small patio, a dining area under a pergola, or a dedicated barbecue spot helps buyers picture how the space can be used.

The best part is you get to enjoy these upgrades now while creating a more inviting property for the future.

Downsizing in the Fraser Valley? Here's what to know before listing.
Many empty nesters assume a smaller home means a smaller price tag. In today's market, that's not always true. Condos and townhouses in sought-after areas, especially newer builds with amenities, can be priced right alongside detached homes.

A few other things worth considering first:
What does "smaller" actually mean for your lifestyle? Less yard work, fewer stairs, a better location. Getting specific makes the search much easier.
Decluttering takes time. Start early. It reduces stress and helps the current home show better to buyers.

Strata living is new for a lot of downsizers. Fees, rules, and shared responsibilities are worth understanding before choosing a property.

Timing the sale and the next move takes planning. There's more than one way to approach it, and the right one depends on your situation.

Downsizing is as much an emotional decision as a practical one. Having the right support makes it feel a lot more manageable.

One of the greatest compliments I can receive as a Realtor is a referral.

When someone recommends me to a friend, family member, neighbour, or coworker, it tells me they trusted me enough with one of the biggest decisions in their lives to confidently put my name forward. That isn't something I ever take for granted.

Real estate isn't just about buying or selling a home. It's about building relationships, being there to answer questions, easing stress, and helping people navigate an important milestone. Knowing that my clients have had a positive experience and want others to experience the same means more than I can say.

So, to everyone who has referred me over the years, thank you. Your trust, confidence, and support have helped my business grow, and I'm truly grateful for every recommendation.

If you know someone who's thinking about buying or selling, I'd be honoured to help them too.

Ever wonder why one home sells in a matter of days while another just down the street sits on the market for weeks?

In today's market, it's not always about having the biggest home or the best location. Pricing, presentation, and first impressions are making a bigger impact than ever before.

If you're thinking about selling this summer in the Vancouver or Fraser Valley area, understanding what today's buyers are looking for could make a significant difference in your selling experience.

I've broken down the three biggest factors that can help your home stand out in my latest blog.

Have questions about what your home might be worth in today's market? Feel free to send me a message. I'd be happy to chat.

Have you discovered Westwood Plateau yet?

Nested in the hills north of Coquitlam Centre, this neighbourhood quietly checks every box for families and nature lovers alike, without the chaos of the city.

Imagine starting your morning on a trail through Bramble Park with a view of the city below, getting the kids to school on foot, and still making it downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes on the West Coast Express. That's just a Tuesday in Westwood Plateau.

It's a multicultural, tight-knit community where the vast majority of residents own their homes, and once people move here, they tend to stay. Between the golf course, the aquatic centre, the parks, and the local shops, there's really not much reason to leave.

Real estate here is predominantly single-family homes, with townhouses and duplexes continuing to grow, making it a great entry point into a neighbourhood that genuinely has it all.
