While the Bank of Canada remained on hold at a the bank’s policy rate at 5 per cent Wednesday, there was a notable pivot in its language, which downplayed the odds of further rate hikes and opened the door to the possibility of rate cuts.

What this means for Buyers and Sellers? There has also been an attitude shift in the real estate market. There is evidence of a more active real estate market ….listings are selling and buyers that are saavy are making home purchases knowing that when the rates start to decrease further the buying frenzy will begin again and they will perhaps miss out on purchasing a home.
