This holiday season, my son Xander wanted to do something kind after seeing how many people in our city are struggling to stay warm. Out of his big heart he’s launching “Xander’s Warm & Dry Winter Drive”

We’re collecting new or gently used blankets, warm clothing, rain gear, coats, socks, and winter shelter accessories for those in need across Vancouver.

Pick ups: Call me to organize! 604-499-4970. Thursday evenings we will be collecting in our community.

My wine hobby is gaining momentum- and this weekend I’ll be on the Naramata Bench with my fav peoples, attending a women in wine conference, interviewing winemakers, touring vineyards, and gathering intimate firsthand knowledge on vineyard real estate. 🍇

Next level achievement involves blind tastings and a serious dive into nerdy wine things such as further studies into different elements that influence wine styles, a deeper dive into the world’s wine regions/districts, and a more comprehensive & analytical approach to tasting . Can’t wait.

March is Kidney Health Month, and as you may already know this is a very important piece of my life. According to kidney.ca, 1 in 10 Canadians have kidney disease, and numbers are on the rise. My little man Xander is one of those “1 in 10”.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and when the Kidney Foundation of Canada was launched in 1964, a person with kidney failure had very little hope of survival. At that time, there were few options for Canadians diagnosed with kidney disease. Dialysis was considered “an extraordinary” treatment and only a small number of patients had access. Renal transplantation was still in its infancy and viewed as experimental. Bringing awareness to kidney health and also celebrating the significant progress made in the last 6 decades is incredibly important to me, and to so many other kidney patients out there. Keep your eyes peeled as this month I’ll be sharing things to help bring awareness to kidney health, and also be giving tips on what you can do to help bring awareness too.
