I feel like I owe it to other small business owners to warn you about working with Carter and Versatile Agency. My experience was unlike any other professional experience I’ve ever had. I started working with him three months ago, under the stipulation that he would guarantee me leads for my real estate business, or would refund my money for those three months. After our three months together, not a single qualified lead had come in (but frankly, that’s not even what this review is about).
The reason I am writing this, is because of how he handled it. When I emailed him to end our contract, he completely disappeared. He shut down our slack channel, and didn’t answer several emails, calls, DMs and Slacks. I literally never heard from him again. Not only did he not refund my money as per his own guarantee (which he put into our contract), he didn’t have the professional courtesy or maturity to have a conversation with me and to honour his commitments.
If you are considering working with him, I would highly recommend you don’t. Aside from his disappearing act, his lack of maturity in business (he’s a University student) shines through in his deliverables, communication and recommendations. I am all about supporting hustling students trying to create a business, but I am not about supporting someone who isn’t honourable and cheats other business owners out of their hard earned money.
