Cheryl spent Sunday riding through Pemberton Meadows for Slow Food Cycle Sunday!

The 40-kilometre route runs past working farms and sunflower fields at the base of the Coast Mountains. Riders stop wherever they like, buy produce straight from the farmers, and take in some live music along the way.

Fun Fact: The event started because two Pemberton residents wanted to protect local farmland from development, and every ticket still puts money directly into the hands of the people growing the food!

Market Update | July 2026

Metro Vancouver’s housing market lost some momentum in July, reversing the increase in activity seen at the beginning of the summer.

Sales declined across all property types compared to last year, with apartments seeing the most significant slowdown. New listings also decreased, continuing a recent trend of fewer sellers bringing their homes to market.

While overall inventory remains elevated compared to seasonal norms, it has begun to gradually decline. With both sales and new listings slowing, prices have edged down slightly, but the market has yet to see significant pressure in either direction.

Market Update | June 2026

Metro Vancouver’s housing market gained momentum in June, with sales increasing across detached homes, townhomes, and apartments compared to last year.

Detached homes saw the strongest growth in activity, followed by townhomes and apartments. At the same time, fewer new listings came to market and overall inventory declined slightly, though the number of available homes remains higher than the seasonal average.

Prices stayed relatively stable from the previous month, suggesting current inventory is still able to absorb the increase in demand. However, if sales continue to rise while new listings slow, it could signal a gradual shift in the market.
