Underpricing is a deliberate pricing strategy where sellers or agents list a property at a price slightly below its perceived market value. This tactic is used to generate increased interest and competition among potential buyers.

By pricing the property lower than expected, sellers aim to attract a larger pool of buyers, leading to multiple offers and potentially sparking a bidding war. The ultimate goal is to drive the final sale price above the original asking price, sometimes even exceeding what the property might have sold for if it were initially priced at market value.
