E #274 - Time To Carbon Tax Your Building!
This week we discuss the new Carbon Tax that Metro Vancouver is planning on charging you for your buildings green house gas emission.

Now, to be fair they are starting with larger commercial buildings to get this thing off the ground. However they will quickly. move to residential buildings...

Assuming this does go ahead, this is going to offer massive financial burdens to the owners of older strata buildings throughout the city.

Needless to say I think this is a horrible plan that will heavily impact many many Vancouverites at a time where things are already extremely tight financially around town.

What are your thoughts? Is taxing you for your buildings carbon something you are happy to pay for?

E #273 - East Coal Harbour, Then & Now
There is a large empty piece of land on the edge of Downtown Vancouver that you have probably driven through a million times. It hasn't really changed in years & is as non conspicuous as any other piece of dirt and service roads. But this baron land is not without a lot of money & chatter year after year.
