Like I said, all they had to do is increase interest rate to slow down the real estate market. After all introduction of taxes: foreign buyer tax , vacancy tax, and a higher property transfer tax, real estate continued to heat. Why didn’t those policies work? Because the majority of buyers are still local working people buying with a mortgage. The ultra rich could’ve paid cash and the mortgage rate increase shouldn’t have slowed down the market like it does now. If the market continues to cool, we should see some price correction

As a Buyer, be prepared to use your vaccine passport, which may become ubiquitous with homes that are not vacant.

As a Seller, you may now instruct your agents to allow buyers to view your house if they have vaccine passport, and to provide alternatives for the Buyers without the vaccine passport such as a virtual showing.

Protect the single largest investment of your life. Avoid lengthy legal battles.
Make sure you have the Owner Builder Disclosure Notice before purchasing or selling an owner built home. The disclosure sticks to the house for life in all future sales. I’m surprised 11 other competing buyers missed this. Hire a professional realtor!
