Came across this photo from 10+ years ago, back in my mid-20s when I was bartending and working in restaurant management. 🥹
When you’re younger, you don’t realize just how fast time goes or how much you’ll one day reminisce about the “good old days.” We used to think that was something only old people said… and somehow, now WE’RE the old people. 😂
One thing I’ve learned: never feel like you’re behind in life. Every phase, every job, and every experience is teaching you something, even when you don’t realize it at the time.
Back then, I was upselling premium alcohol, adding extras to meals, managing customers, dealing with difficult situations, negotiating with drunk/hangry people and learning how to read people. Today, I’m selling real estate and leading a team.
Funny enough, so many of the skills that helped build my career today started behind a bar and inside a restaurant. Sales, communication, confidence, negotiation, customer service, work ethic, those are lessons you don’t always learn sitting in a classroom.
Nothing is ever wasted. Every chapter prepares you for the next one. ❤️
So enjoy the phase you’re in. Work hard, have fun, take the pictures, and appreciate the people around you… because one day, these will be the “good old days” too. 🥂✨
