At the recent PacificWest Conference, AIC-BC Subject Matter Expert Member Ambassador Volunteers Dan Jones, P.App., AACI, and Leigh Walker, P.App., CRA, shared the perspective on appraisal gaps, financing challenges, lender requirements, appraisal reports, and changing market conditions.

The session focused on helping industry professionals better understand the appraisal process, manage expectations, and identify potential challenges earlier in a transaction.

This provincial award recognizes a designated AIC-BC Member who has made an outstanding contribution to the appraisal profession through service, leadership, achievement, education, mentoring, or support of the professional aims of AIC-BC and AIC.

For , recognition like this highlights the Members who help strengthen the profession through sustained excellence, volunteer leadership, knowledge sharing, education, and mentorship.

Named in honour of Keith Goodwin, P.App., AACI, Fel., the award reflects a legacy of professional service at both the provincial and national levels.

Nominations must include a biography of at least one page outlining the nominee’s contributions and should be addressed to the AIC-BC Nominating Committee.

The BC Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC-BC) is currently seeking instructors for the 2027 Professional Practice Seminar (PPS) and welcomes expressions of interest from Members who wish to be considered.

The PPS is a mandatory seminar for AIC Members, and the AIC-BC Board of Directors is looking for qualified individuals to support its delivery and help ensure a high-quality learning experience for participants.

Approved applicants must complete training provided by AIC National (likely in November or December 2026) to be certified as a PPS instructor.
