Peggy and I opened our hearts and our home to another sweet angel.

Georgina (Gigi) Joy is about 12 weeks old, likely a chihuahua mix and was found at 5 weeks as a stray in Ontario, California - no mama, no siblings. Just figuring things out all on her own.

I adopted her from the same rescue I got Peggy and Midnite from, . If you ever have any questions about adoption and this rescue, please ask! They are incredible.

Gigi is sassy, independent and incredibly sweet and we have our hands full! We’ve had her for almost one month now and she’s already grown and learned so much about the world, and settling into her life with us.

Peggy has been the best big sister and role model, minding the occasional growl from puppy ankle nips, she hangs out next to Gigi’s xpen to help me key an eye on the little bean.

I believe Midnite sent her to us as just the right time ❤️

How lucky I was to be your mom 🤍

If love were enough, you would have lived forever.

You completed our family. You made me smile and laugh every single day. You made my heart feel like it was going to explode right out of my chest with love.

I did my best to return that unconditional love to you every single day.

I will not let the way it ended take away from 11 years of amazing memories and love. But I am so sorry you weren’t given the peaceful end that you so deserved. I’m doing my best to make peace with that, but it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

What I wouldn’t give for one more cuddle. One more kiss. One more run on the beach or playing fetch with your favourite ball. One more California road trip or swim in the ocean. One more agility run. All things I never took for granted, but couldn’t get enough of. To watch how happy you were, made me happy in return.

Everything feels a bit more dull now. A part of my soul left with yours. I would give anything to have you back here with Peggy and I.

(I lost my sweet girl Midnite back in March and it’s just been too hard to post. 1. Because looking at her photos has been impossible and 2. Because posting is an admission that she is gone from this life and 3. There is nothing I can say or write that will do my love for her justice.)
