Real Estate can be a lonely business…

From the outside it looks like it’s very people focused, and it is, but 90% of the time you’re doing the grunt work on your own.

When Dad retired at the beginning of 2022, it left me without a business partner and confidant.

And while I’m extremely fortunate to have made many friends in the business, I still felt like I was on an island, a little bit.

So my advice to agents, especially lately, is find your tribe. They don’t have to be “on your team” or even within your brokerage, but find a group of people to share your experiences with, to share wins and losses with, to grow together with.

Let’s face it.

We get into real estate for a lot of reasons.

But one of the reasons I love the business is the people.

Yesterday and I filmed some ridiculous content around the city. I think we laughed non-stop at our stupidity. Two middle aged dudes being kids.

Then back to the office where and .toosi and I filmed a marketing video for some project sales opportunities. Absolutely insane stuff that breaks the traditional mold of real estate marketing.

This is a dynamic, stressful business that has a lot of highs and lows…so it’s so important to surround yourself with the right people (and laugh at yourself in the process) 🤪.
