As a family-led corporation for three generations, The Cape Group has been at the forefront of construction and development for more than 50 years. What began as a small operation in Brandon, Manitoba has grown into a company with projects renowned throughout western Canadian communities. Founded by Ralph Schwartzman in 1956, Ralph understood that attention to detail, a strong knowledge base, and
a strong work ethic would drive the success of the company he envisioned. We built the first auto mall in Canada, and the first high-rise homes in downtown Coquitlam. We’ve built expansive recreational facilities in large cities, and worked closely with townspeople to bring the right homes to smaller centres, including Nanaimo, Fort St. John and St. Albert, Alberta. Now we are bringing the first market residences to Thompson Rivers University campus as part of The Reach lands master plan. We recognize that in today’s society, people are seeking spaces that not only meet their practical needs, but serve as a hub for community growth and add value to their everyday lives. Guided by the philosophy to develop and deliver, The Cape Group aims to provide enhanced value and a refreshing development attitude. We are known within the industry as a group you can count on, with diverse experience in the development of residential, commercial, industrial and retail properties; working with landowners, institutions, and building to meet the needs of communities and tenants large and small. Our dedication to excellence and innovation is apparent in everything we do.
