On April 2nd, he attended the UVic Real Estate Club's Spring Social as their keynote speaker. It was a wonderful evening of sharing industry insight and networking to bring together students and industry professionals - thank you to the students who helped organized this evening! 👏⁠

Meet Junior In-House Counsel, Seemaa Khan! ⁠

Seemaa has been an essential part of the legal team since 2022 and is Chard's very first “home-grown” lawyer. We’ve asked her some questions to get to know her better. Check out her answers below!⁠

▪️ What do you enjoy MOST about working at Chard? ⁠

As Junior In-House Counsel, I work on a wide range of legal matters which keeps the work interesting and allows me to develop a broad skill set. I also enjoy the collaborative nature of the work at Chard and the opportunity to interact with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.⁠

▪️ Can you share a career highlight or accomplishment you’re proud of?⁠

I was the first in-house articling student at Chard and I was called to the bar in December 2023 and thereafter retained as Chard’s Junior In-House Counsel.⁠

▪️ When you’re not working, what can we find you doing?⁠
⁠
Travelling and spending time with my friends. The last place I travelled to was South Africa where I spent two weeks in the Drakensburg Mountains with my family.⁠
