Black History Month is a time for deep reflection and celebration. It's about honouring the resilience, brilliance, and countless contributions of Black individuals throughout history and today. It's also a reminder that the fight for equality and justice continues, and we all have a role to play in building a more equitable future.

More personally, I am proud of my children and their advocacy for their culture. My daughter recently moderated a panel at Kitsilano High School to share views and perspectives of influential people of colour within our community in honour of BHM.
