The way we think about luxury space is changing.

For years, the wish list often included a media room, w**e cellar or games room.

Increasingly, I’m interested in another use of that space: wellness.

Not simply a treadmill tucked into a spare bedroom, but a thoughtfully designed environment for fitness, mobility and recovery — perhaps incorporating a sauna, cold plunge or dedicated stretching space.

We’re already seeing this thinking reflected in some of Vancouver’s newer residential developments.

I think the more interesting question is what happens next in our homes.

Given one extra room, what would you choose today — a media room or a wellness room?

A great week back at the Odlum Brown VanOpen after a four-year hiatus.

It was a privilege to once again be part of the officiating team and to experience world-class tennis right here in Vancouver.

The real highlight, however, was reconnecting with fellow officials from across Canada and around the world. Tennis has a remarkable way of bringing together people who share a commitment to professionalism, fairness and a genuine love of the game.
