Dear colleagues, friends, and family.

I hope this note finds you all well.

On November 21, I’ll be giving up my bed for one night and sleeping outside as part of Covenant House Vancouver’s Sleep Out. This will be my fourth year taking part in this powerful event — and every year, it reminds me how deeply fortunate we are to have a safe place to call home, and how many young people in our city do not.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. Covenant House supports vulnerable youth between the ages of 16 and 24 — young people who have experienced abuse, been forced from their homes, or aged out of foster care. They provide critical essentials like shelter, food, clothing, and counselling to more than 1,000 youth every year, and just as importantly, they offer hope.

This year, I’ve set a personal fundraising goal of $10,000, and I would be so grateful for your support in helping me reach it. Your donation — no matter the amount — has a real, tangible impact. It helps ensure that these resilient young people have a safe place to sleep and the support they need to rebuild their lives.

The Sleep Out isn’t just about spending a night outdoors. It’s about showing these youth that they’re seen, valued, and not alone.
