is never the same.
This strong willed child chose to come out of me last year on this day and she spent the first year of her life inspiring me (testing me).
As she grows, what’s important to me is how much we as her parents have the power the influence her and yet her innocence, being true to who she is inspire me everyday to be brave and to work harder in life so I can provide and protect.
This day is to empower and embrace women and we need this more than ever!
We have a voice and have choices!
If I want my baby girl to always speak up, I need to teach her how to articulate herself but first to identify how she feels.
If I want her to be brave, I need to provide her with safety so she knows being brave does not mean you are alone.
If I want her to be happy, I need to show her the foundations of being happy from within which is live with integrity, have a support system and know who you are.
Now… how do I teach her?
To show her by doing!
I am proud of the women that I am but there are things I want to work on so I can be the role model that she needs and the role model that I never had.
Who knew… having a child is the journey of self healing.
I love being a mom, especially her Mom.
To all the women, if your life is not at where you want to be, if you are in situations that you have doubts in, if you are just not happy or you don’t know what to do….
