Finding the home is the exciting part… but the weeks between an accepted offer and final closing are where a lot of buyers accidentally put their own deal at risk.

Here is the thing: your mortgage lender doesn't stop checking your file once you’re approved. They are continuously monitoring your credit, employment, and bank statements right up until the keys are handed over.

If you are currently under contract or planning to buy soon, this is your official reminder NOT to do any of the following:

🚫 Apply for a new credit card (even if it's to get a discount on appliances)
🚫 Finance major purchases like a new car or a house full of furniture
🚫 Shift large sums of money between bank accounts without paper trails
🚫 Switch jobs or change industries without consulting your lender first
🚫 Let your bank accounts drop significantly below where they were at approval
