Canada will be receiving upwards of 1.3M immigrants of which majority will reside in the GTA. As per CMHC (Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation) Canada is also in a significant housing deficit, which in turn leaves hundreds of thousands of current Ontario families at a disadvantage to purchase homes. With mortgage rates being at an all time low, many previous unqualified buyers are now able to enter the market. For the foreseeable future it will become harder to find properties to buy because of basic supply and demand.

⚪️Inflation

Inflation is another extremely concerning factor to consider when determining if real estate is the right investment vehicle. Having stagnant money in your bank account such as savings has never depreciated your purchasing power more than now. With governments printing trillions of dollars, the purchasing power of your dollar decreases. A great way to build wealth and stability is to put your money to work and own tangible assets such as real estate. Our government now more than ever is dependant on the housing market as it has now taken a significant portion of our economy. With our banking system being subsidized by our government, the government cannot afford to have the housing market drop significantly.
