✅ What’s the benefit?
Up to $50,000 GST rebate on new homes to make homeownership more affordable.

✅ Who qualifies?
• First-time home buyers (not owned a home in Canada or abroad in past 4 years)
• Canadian citizens or permanent residents
• 18 years or older

✅ Which homes qualify?
• Newly built homes (from builders or self-built)
• Price limits:
• Full rebate for homes up to $1M
• Partial rebate for homes $1M–$1.5M
• No rebate for homes over $1.5M

✅ Key conditions:
• Purchase agreement signed on or after May 27, 2025 and before January 1, 2031
• Construction must start before 2031 and complete by 2036
• Can only claim once in a lifetime (spouse/partner cannot have claimed before)

✅ Not eligible for:
• Resale homes
• Assignment sales (pre-May 27, 2025 agreements)
