If you are in the process or looking to sell/purchase a property with a tenant/rental property, pay attention to the following important changes:

-Landlords must use a Web Portal starting July 18th to generate Notice to End Tenancy documents and will be required to provide information on the person(s) moving in.

-Landlords must provide 4 months notice to vacate instead of the current 2 months, currently the amount of compensation does not increase from the 1 months rent due to the tenant. They have said they may look at this in the future.

- Tenants will now have 30 days to file a dispute instead of the current 15 days.

- The party moving into the property must live in the property for 12 months, increased from the 6 months currently.
